Planning for the development of the West Byron urban land release area is happening in 3 stages:
- Undertake a State Significant Site study. The study includes a focus on environmental and technical factors, community and other stakeholders providing feedback on their hopes and concerns, consideration of other local and regional strategies and planning and urban design elements. The studies undertaken and their focus are highlighted in the section State Significant Site Study Current Status. For background information on the study please read the background report.
- Develop a master plan and detailed development controls after the land is rezoned (dependant on approval being given by the Department of Planning)
- Submit development applications for subdivision stages, including road design, lot layouts etc.
